Old World
Overview
The Old Gods created multiple iterations of life, all of which inevitably succumbed to Entropy. The old world, known as Earth, was the latest iteration. After human extinction, Earth recovered ecologically, until the heat death of the universe.
In observing the old world and creating the tower, the old gods realized imbalance drove entropy, and their immense power was the main contributor to imbalance. They chose to destroy themselves and disperse their essence evenly throughout the tower, to create the most homeostatically stable universe.
